“I’ve been waiting for the perfect girl for over a decade and she walked into my life.”
John Stamos‘ house is about to get a little bit fuller.
Earlier this week, the actor announced he was engaged to long-time girlfriend Caitlin McHugh — exciting news we can all appreciate.
The most exciting thing about the proposal, however, was the incredible way Stamos popped the question.
Disney fans, brace yourselves.
With the help of Disney Animation Director Paul Briggs, Stamos presented McHugh with a montage of Disney’s “greatest love moments” in Disneyland California’s animation room.
Naturally, The Little Mermaid’s Sebastian the Crab was a major help. He is, after all, an expert matchmaker.

“I kissed the boy and said…yes!” McHugh also shared on Monday. “That’s what you do when the sweetest, most romantic Prince Charming treats you like a princess and asks you to be his.”
Stamos was married to Rebecca Romijn from 1998-2005. The marriage will be McHugh’s first.
“I’ve been waiting for the perfect girl for over a decade and she walked into my life,” Stamos followed up with People on Tuesday.
“I mean everybody knows that I’ve always loved family, and I wanted to have a family some day and get married again, and everyone’s like, ‘Why don’t you just do it!? Why don’t you just do it!?'”
