‘Sesame Street’s ‘Despacito’ Remix Is So Adorable It Hurts

We want a rubber ducky, like, now.

Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee’s “Despacito” is the most-streamed song ever, and the most-watched video of all time. Its impossibly catchy remix featuring Justin Bieber has been dubbed the Song of the Summer, and also sits atop the Billboard charts (not if Taylor Swift has her way, we guess). Given the song’s sweeping success, I wonder why there hasn’t been more “Despacito” parodies popping up on the internet.

That changes now, thanks to the plucky puppets of Sesame Street. The song, titled “El Patito” (rubber ducky) features Ernie, Rosita, and a hesitant Bert paying homage to everyone’s favorite bath toy. Well done, you guys. You managed to keep up with the times while turning a sexy song into one that is actually suitable for children. Plus, I think this is actually more catchy than the original. Sort of.

And just for comparison’s sake, listen to the original version one last time before summer is over.

What do you think?
