Gwen Stefani has officially announced her 25-date Las Vegas residency.
Rumours first emerged in March suggesting the former No Doubt frontwoman was very close to signing a deal for her own residency, and the singer confirmed the news on Tuesday, revealing that she will be performing 25 shows, dubbed Gwen Stefani – Just a Girl, a nod to the band’s 1995 song of the same name, at the Zappos Theater inside Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.
“To be able to do a show in Vegas is such an incredible honor. Growing up in Anaheim, California, I could never have imagined one day having my own Vegas residency,” she said in a statement. “I have been so fortunate to tour throughout my career, but to create a show for Vegas is something I’ve never experienced and I can’t wait.”
The 48-year-old changed her Twitter profile and header images to advertise her residency and shared a promo video, adding, “It’s happening!! My very first Las Vegas residency ‘Just A Girl’ is opening June 27th at Zappos Theater inside Planet Hollywood! Tix for all 25 dates go on sale this Fri at 10am.”
The residency kicks off on 27 June and runs into July before resuming in December, when she will perform four dates including New Year’s Eve. The final run will start at the end of February and conclude in March.
